Short biography

Dr. Chandresh Kumar Maurya is a research assistant professor at the Telekom Innovation Laboratory at ELTE. Earlier he was a research scientist at IBM Research, Bangalore, India. He has worked on automating various IBM products such as blockchain using AI. He completed his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee, India in 2016 and Master’s degree from JNU, New Delhi in 2012 and Bachelor’s degree from BIET Jhansi, India in 2010. During his Ph.D., he Interned with Microsoft India R&D and Bosch Research, Bangalore. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, he also worked as junior rerearch fellow at IIT Roorkee , as a software engineer at Aricent Inc., Gurgaon. He was recipient of Prime Minister’s Fellowship for Doctoral Research, awarded by Confederation of Indian Industries and Robert Bosch, Bangalore. He won the special mention award at Xerox Research Center India (XRCI Open 2016). His research interest lies in the theoretical and practical aspects of machine learning, deep learning and data mining He has published papers in peer-reviewed journals such as IEEE Transactions on Big data, Information Sciences, Elsevier, Neurocomputing and conferences/workshops such as ICML, ICSOC.

Research interests: Text mining, document classification, stream mining
